North Main Installer Position

Position Overview:

  • Heavy travel is required 

  • Problem solver who can multitask effectively and work well with others

  • Able to travel on short notice and be available during non-traditional working hours

  • Experience in construction or electrical trades is strongly preferred

  • Having experience with solar installations is a plus

  • Effectively work well in a team setting to install and seal roof attachments, equipment racking supports, and solar panels

  • Perform all construction tasks per the manufacturer’s installation guidelines

  • Prepare and connect solar cables per the manufacturer’s installation guidelines

  • Review the job installation plan with the team

  • Prepare, load, and organize installation vehicles

  • Attend mandatory training sessions on new products, installation methodology, and safety

  • Troubleshoot, test, repair, and service technical equipment

  • Additional duties are required as needed.

 

Specifications:  

  • Work both inside and outside in all temperatures and climate conditions 

  • Daily work expectation requires the ability to perform tasks by walking, standing, sitting, kneeling, crouching, squatting, twisting, pushing, pulling, shoveling, climbing, and working with hand tools (up to 25 pounds) in positions above and below the head, and extended from the body to complete repairs

  • Lift, carry, position, and use tools and/or equipment (weighing up to 50 lbs.) in awkward positions

  • Must be able to wear personal protective equipment (PPE) as required.

 

Minimum Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent.

  • 3-5 years of solar experience/construction is preferred.  

  • Roof work, general construction, or carpentry preferred.

  • Basic computer skills including familiarity with Microsoft Office programs.

  • Customer service skills are required.

  • Regular, reliable, and predictable attendance is required

  • Must have a valid state driver’s license.

  • Must have a clean driving record

  • Must be able to successfully pass a pre-employment criminal, driving, and drug screen.

  • Hours may vary depending on the needs of the business

  • Common knowledge of tools

  • Must be able to climb and carry a ladder

  • Must be authorized to work in the United States
